Narek Zeynalyan, member of the National Assembly from the Communist Party of the Republic of Azerbaijan, resigned from the mandate.
He reported this on his Facebook pageon the page.
"Dear compatriots, I am terminating my parliamentary powers on my own initiative.
As before today, from now on, I will continue to serve the Republic of Armenia with my knowledge and experience. Let me briefly present my work during these years. From 2019 until now, as the chairman of the NA Standing Committee, I have developed and fully adopted 49 legislative initiatives, I have given more than 50 speeches, organized many discussions on various topics, I was elected to the Global TB Caucus for Eastern Europe and Central Asia co-chairman of the region, head of the Armenian delegation of restorative law of the European Parliamentary Forum, deputy chairman of the standing committee on social policy and human rights of the CIS inter-parliamentary assembly.
I have participated in many discussions related to the health care system on various international platforms.
Together with my political team, we have overcome quite difficult trials and I am sure that my colleagues will continue to uphold the values we declared, will continue to overcome all the challenges facing the Republic of Armenia with honor and will make our dreams come true," he wrote.
