The preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings initiated in connection with the attempt to set fire to the car of the head of the Kapan community has been completed. On May 21, on the basis of the information received regarding the burning of the "Lexus" car used by the head of the Kapan community of Syunik region, a criminal investigation was initiated according to the 2nd, 3rd and 6th points of the 2nd part of the article 44-264 of the RA criminal code. proceedings.
According to the factual data obtained as a result of the investigation and administrative operations carried out in the Syunik Marz Investigation Department of the RA Investigative Committee, it was substantiated that the resident of Kapan community, complaining about the delay in the process of privatizing the house belonging to his family and providing the address, decided to destroy the house operated by the head of the community. , especially large property exceeding AMD 5 million, "Lexus" car.
For this purpose, the mentioned person in 2024 on May 21, around 7:45 p.m., he poured the gasoline he had taken with him in advance on the hood and windshield of the Lexus car parked on Charents Street in Kapan and set it on fire. was repaid on time. On the basis of the obtained sufficient facts, the resident of Kapan community was charged with items 2, 3 and 6 of part 2 of Article 44-264 of the RA Criminal Code.
He was placed under house arrest as a preventive measure, which was later replaced by a curfew. The preliminary investigation was completed, and the materials of the criminal proceedings, with the indictment, were sent to the supervising prosecutor for approval and sent to court.
