The “Zhoghovurd” daily writes: “According to the information of the “Zhoghovurd” daily, the process of nationalization of the “Electric Networks of Armenia” company is entering a crucial stage. The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure will soon post the draft on the E-draft platform. This will be followed by a public discussion, after which the document will be included in the agenda of the Government session.
However, the process will not end with the Government’s decision. According to the information of the “Zhoghovurd” daily, the process of evaluating the company will last for several months after that. It is as a result of this evaluation that the amount of compensation to be paid by the state will be determined.
That is, the state must first obtain full control of the E-NET, then the company will be evaluated, and already on this basis the owner will be provided with compensation. According to government sources of the “Zhoghovurd” daily, in the final stage it is planned to register the E-NET in the state register as 100 percent state property.
The most interesting part of this process will probably be not only when ENA will officially become a state-owned company, but also how much the state will pay for it. The financial burden on the state budget will depend on the project to be published in the near future and the subsequent evaluation process.
In fact, the path to nationalization of ENA enters one of the last and most expensive stages: the company's evaluation, compensation and state registration. And all this at the expense of proud taxpayers.
