The “Zhoghovurd” daily writes:
“According to the information of the “Zhoghovurd” daily, the preliminary investigation into the criminal case initiated against Argam Abrahamyan, the son of former Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, is nearing completion, and the proceedings will soon be sent to court with an indictment. According to the same sources, the preliminary investigation body, in fact, no longer has extensive investigative actions to carry out in the case.
The “Zhoghovurd” daily reported that the proceedings, which were separated from the murder case, were investigated by the Investigative Committee for about two years, and one of the last key actions was to demand the phone of the murdered spiritual pastor Soghomon Vlasyan from the court and examine its contents. ArmLur.am had earlier reported that the phone contained correspondence and various conversations between Vlasyan and the people who received communion from him. It should also be noted that Argam Abrahamyan's wife, Gagik Tsarukyan's daughter Emma Tsarukyan, was summoned to the Investigative Committee and interrogated in this case. The content of her testimony was not published in the interests of the preliminary investigation.
Let us remind you that Soghomon Vlasyan was killed on April 30, 2023, near the building at Myasnikyan 2 in Yerevan. The case of the alleged perpetrator of the murder, Gegham Hakobyan, was sent to court in 2024. More than three years later, on August 8, 2026, Argam Abrahamyan was arrested in the case, and the next day he was taken into custody. According to the Investigative Committee, Abrahamyan, out of personal revenge, ordered his security guard Gegham Hakobyan to kill Soghomon Vlasyan. Public criminal prosecution has been initiated against Argam Abrahamyan under Article 46-155, Part 2, Clause 11 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, for inciting to commit a murder by order.
Thus, more than two years after the case of the alleged perpetrator, the proceedings against the alleged client are also on the verge of being sent to court.”
