By the order of the Minister of Education and Culture, during the 2026-2027 academic year, the duration of the training sessions and the vacation dates of the students of the educational institutions implementing basic (general, specialized and special) state programs of general education were defined.
According to the order, classes for students of grades 1 to 12 of public educational institutions will begin on September 1, 2026 and end on May 21, 2027, in the case of a 5-day working week, and May 22, in the case of a 6-day working week.
Autumn holidays for students in the 1st grade are scheduled from October 19 to 30, 2026 inclusive, in the case of a 5-day working week, and from October 19 to 31, 2026 inclusive, in the case of a 6-day working week. Winter holidays are scheduled from December 28, 2026 to January 22, 2027 inclusive, in the case of a 5-day work week, and from December 28, 2026 to January 23, 2027, inclusive, in the case of a 6-day work week. Spring Break is scheduled for March 15-26, 2027, with a 5-day work week, and March 15-27, 2027, with a 6-day work week.
