Yesterday we learned that the advisors of the Minister of Defense Melikset Poghosyan, Razmik Petrosyan and Kamo Vardanyan were relieved of their positions. A few days ago, the head of the military police was removed from his position, and he was replaced by the former police chief Aram Hovhannisyan (nicknamed "Chihuahua"). According to our source of the Ministry of Defense, Papikyan is looking for scapegoats to put the blame for the suicides and the state of disobedience in the army on them and continue in office.
He has been firing various personnel in recent days to show that the culprits are being punished. If Papikyan blames, for example, the head of the military police for killing soldiers or causing them to commit suicide, I wonder who he blames for the fact that last winter a soldier got caught in an avalanche while disembarking and died, and in the end it turned out that the army does not even have an ordinary "Willis" to disembark the soldier, but the minister and deputy ministers drive around in expensive, oil-filled cars. According to our information, Papikyan has decided to send high-ranking officers to the military, so that they control the situation, so that the soldiers do not kill each other, do not "put blasphemy" on each other for sleeping in their positions, etc.
We learned that some high-ranking military personnel have already been sent to positions for a month or two. Let's see how these one-time promotions will end. According to Defense Minister Suren Papikyan, there is a systematic fight against the criminal subculture in the army: "The groups of officers formed from the structural divisions of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces will be sent to the military units on duty in order to support the officers serving on the spot, as well as the organization of service in the troops," he wrote.
