CP: in the NA canteen, "Strong Armenia" in one room. what happens during the breaks of the National Assembly? "People"

"Zhoghovurd" daily writes: "Zhoghovurd" daily newspaper noticed that an interesting picture was formed in the working routine of the new parliament not only in the meeting hall, but also in the cafeteria of the National Assembly. About twelve days after the start of the work of the new convocation parliament, one can already notice who actively uses the NA cafeteria, who prefers the outdoor cafe, and who does not even leave their office during the break.

Our reporter noticed that during breaks in the NA canteen you can meet representatives of almost all factions. NA Vice Presidents Vahagn Aleksanyan and Hayk Konjoryan often dine here. In general, the cafeteria has become a place for informal communication of deputies, where, outside the meeting hall, representatives of different political forces have the opportunity to communicate more easily. The behavior of Araik Harutyunyan, who moved from the government to the parliament, is also interesting.

He also dutifully uses the NA canteen, but his behavior seems to show that he is still in the process of adapting to the new parliamentary environment. Harutyunyan is relatively reserved, rarely communicates with new colleagues and mostly spends time with his former assistant, now a member of the CP faction, Suren Hovhannisyan, with whom he previously worked in the government. Deputies of the ruling CP faction also actively use the outdoor cafe of the parliament.

It turns out that for CP members, the break is not only a time to eat, but also an opportunity to communicate with each other and discuss work issues. And in the case of the opposition "Strong Armenia" faction, the picture is significantly different. The members of the 29-member faction that entered the new parliament, according to our observation, mostly stay together in the office of the faction during the break.

Moreover, the food they ordered is taken from the canteen to the office of the faction itself. The reason, apparently, is not only a preference for the canteen. The newly created faction has not yet fully adapted to the parliamentary working regime, and most of the deputies continue to spend most of their time together in the same area. The issue of separate offices for the faction has not yet been fully resolved, as a result of which the daily life of 29 MPs at this stage is quite closely connected to one common work area. Thus, the parliament canteen, cafe and offices seem to have become a small "map" of the new National Assembly.

In one place, the ruling MPs are actively communicating, in another, the vice-presidents and representatives of different factions, and the new opposition force prefers to spend the break with almost its entire composition under one roof. How quickly this picture will change, the parliamentary routine of the coming months will show. But at the moment, the recess hours of the National Assembly are no less interesting than the political processes taking place in the session hall." Details in today's issue of "Zhoghovurd" daily newspaper.
