We were informed that the unit of one of the military units located in Artashat city was moved to Syunik marz by the decision of the Ministry of Defense, and the soldiers of this unit were also transferred from Artashat to Syunik to continue their military service. The parent of one of the soldiers contacted us and claimed that his child was transferred from Artashat to Syunik marz, one of the border military units, and they did not give any explanation. The parent said indignantly that his son had just left for military service, and according to the requested order, the service fell to the Artashat military unit by drawing lots. Now, without any explanation, the soldier was taken to Syunik marz and they treated all the soldiers of the unit in the same way.
Our interlocutor asked to remain anonymous, because in the army they are guided by thieving manners and their son can be harmed.
We tried to get a comment from the spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense to understand why, first of all, the unit of the Artashat military unit was moved to Syunik marz. In the end, the soldiers serving in Artashat, according to the relevant order, entered military service there by lot.
In a conversation with us, the Ministry of Defense confirmed the information that the unit of one of Artashat's military units was moved to another place, but where, the spokesman said, he could not provide any information about that. He only mentioned that the unit was transferred to a newly built military unit that meets European standards.
