The head of the Lori Regional Department of the Criminal Police presented the work done during the past 6 months, noting that 334 cases of crime related to the functions of the Criminal Police were registered. No cases of murder were recorded. The criminal police revealed 5 cases of attempted murder and preparation.
During the reporting period, criminal organizations and gangs were neutralized. Cases of detection of latent crimes have decreased. In general, crimes against public safety, public order, and public health have increased, which are mainly due to the detection of cases of driving a vehicle without a driver's license by patrol officers.
The heads of the departments of the Lori region of the Community Police, the Patrol Service, the Vanadzor and Tumanyan state security departments of the Police Guard also made reports. Crimes registered in the Taron department of the community police decreased by 3.2 percent. Out of 210 crimes, 178 or 84.8 percent were revealed, surpassing the indicator of the same period last year.
Crimes committed against minors have decreased, cases of illegal drug trafficking have increased. During the first half of the year, 240 cases of crime were registered in the Community Police Department of Bazum, 84.6 percent of which were discovered. Out of 145 registered cases, 129 or 89 percent were identified. In the service area of the department, crimes against people have decreased, and crimes against property have increased. During the reporting period, cases of family and domestic violence have increased in the service area of Tashir Community Police Department. 80 cases of crime were registered, 73 were revealed.
The disclosure rate exceeded last year's rate, reaching 91.3 percent. Positive dynamics were recorded in the direction of detection of latent crimes, in particular, illegal drug trafficking. During the first half of the year, the patrols of Lori region made a total of 45,274 records of various administrative offenses, which is 3,994 more than in the same period of the previous year. 88 crimes were discovered, including the discovery of sharp weapons and cases of illegal drug trafficking. Although traffic accidents have increased, the number of victims as a result of them has decreased.
The heads of the Vanadzor and Tumanyan state security departments of the Police Guard presented the work carried out during the reporting period, emphasizing the results of the detection of crimes recorded during the service. Particular attention was paid to cases of cruelty to animals.
Referring to the work of the Patrol Service, the minister emphasized the role of patrols not only in regulating road traffic, but also in preventing and detecting crimes, emphasizing the need for continuous improvement of the rapid response toolkit.
