"It has been more than a year since the position of the Chief Military Commission of Armenia has been vacant. The MP is Aren Sargsyan. Former chief Armen Avtandilyan was dismissed from his position in August last year. The position of the commander of the 5th army corps of the Ministry of Defense has also been vacant for about 2 months. 2 months have passed since the dismissal of Sasun Badasyan, but it has not been filled.
Last week, Deputy Minister of Defense Arman Sargsyan was asked by Gegham Manukyan why they are not being recruited, but he did not get a clear answer. The fact of keeping the key positions of the Ministry of Defense vacant for a long time is especially remarkable against the background of the information that Aliyev considers the demilitarization of the Republic of Armenia one of the preconditions for signing a peace treaty.
It is possible that this is the reason for leaving key positions vacant, although it is not excluded that they simply do not have personnel."
