German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier has announced that he is ready to dissolve the Bundestag and hold early parliamentary elections if the deputies express no confidence in the country's Chancellor Olaf Scholz. This is reported by the Reuters agency.
"Now is not the time for tactical tricks and deception, but the time for intelligence and responsibility," Steinmeier said.
Recently, Olaf Scholz fired the German Finance Minister Christian Lindner, stating that this step was necessary to avoid damage to the country. German Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck said that the crisis of the ruling coalition is due to the disagreement of the Ministry of Finance on providing aid to Ukraine.
