EU leaders will hold an emergency discussion at the summit in Budapest on November 7-8 on further actions of the European Union after the victory of Republican Donald Trump in the US presidential elections, the main topics will be the risks of a new trade war between the EU and the US and a decrease in support for Kyiv from Washington, a diplomatic official told TASS source in Brussels.
“The informal summit in Budapest will be a good opportunity for leaders to hold an emergency discussion on the EU’s preparation for the consequences of Trump’s victory. Here, this event is associated with two main risks - a complication of economic relations with the United States, up to the start of a new trade war, and the possibility of a reduction in military assistance to Ukraine,” - noted the diplomat.
