Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan announced this at the teleconference of the operational headquarters of emergency situation management in Lori and Tavush marzes with the participation of the Prime Minister of Armenia: "The railway has also suffered a lot of damage. About 2.5 km of the total 27 km section was damaged in different sections. The damages are quite serious, it will take a long time to restore the railway connection," said Sanosyan. On May 26, floods occurred in Lori and Tavush regions as a result of heavy rains and the overflowing of the Debed, Agstev, and Tashir rivers. As a result of floods, houses, buildings and roads were destroyed. According to preliminary data, there are 4 victims as a result of floods in Lori and Tavush. International trains on the Yerevan-Tbilisi-Yerevan route will be canceled from May 26.
