Hamas fired rockets at Tel Aviv

The Palestinian Hamas group fired rockets into Tel Aviv on Sunday for the first time in recent months. At least eight rockets were fired from Rafah toward the city, and several were intercepted, the Israeli military said. There were no reports of casualties, the BBC reports. The Israeli army later struck a facility in Rafah, which IS said the militants had used to launch rockets. The Gaza Ministry of Health said on Monday that one person was killed in a strike on a center for displaced people in Rafah. At least 35 were killed and dozens of people were injured. The Israel Defense Forces announced that it carried out an airstrike on a Hamas camp in the city, and they are aware that civilians were also injured. "The strike was carried out against legitimate targets in accordance with international law, based on accurate intelligence, according to which Hamas used the area for a missile attack," TSAHAL said in a statement.
