RA Ministry of Defense issued a statement

On March 21, a citizen alerted the Vanadzor military police department and reported that he participated in the 44-day war and brought weapons and ammunition with him as a result of the explanatory work conducted among the public regarding the voluntary surrender of illegally stored weapons and ammunition by the military police of the RA Ministry of Defense. The citizen also reported the location of the weapons and ammunition, asking to consider the alarm as a voluntary surrender of the weapons and ammunition.

This was announced by the Ministry of Defense.

"The officers of the Stepanavan base of the Vanadzor Department of the Ministry of Defense, going to the scene of the incident, found a bag in the water pipe. After guarding the area, the police officers reported the incident to the patrol service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Tashir police station.

As a result of the joint action, 1 AK-74 assault rifle, 8 ammunition boxes, 7 of which were loaded with 210 bullets of 5.45 caliber, 176 other bullets of different calibers, 5 grenades, 2 grenade detonators, 2 cylinders and 1 TNT detonator were found in the bag.

The report and documents on the apparent crime were sent to the Stepanavan investigative department of the RA Criminal Investigation Department to decide whether to initiate criminal proceedings," the message says.
