Armine Ohanyan, editor of "Hraparak" daily newspaper, was summoned to the Investigative Committee and questioned today.
On the basis of the editorial of "Hraparak" daily, published about two years ago, the investigator initiated proceedings under the article "public calls aimed at usurping the power and overthrowing the constitutional order using mass media".
Armine Ohanyan emphasized in the interview given by "Azatutyun" about the issue, that there was no call to seize power by force in the editorial, just an attempt was made to scare and silence him during the pre-election period.
"But I am afraid, these are meaningless actions," said the editor-in-chief of "Hraparak" daily.
He also emphasized that persecutions are being carried out for speech under the rule of a person who, in the past, when he was a journalist, repeatedly called for violence in his publications.
"The saddest thing is that all this is done by a former editor, who worked as a journalist all his life, and all his publications contained much more calls for violence than my material, on the basis of which I was summoned to the Investigative Committee today," emphasized Armine Ohanyan.
