The operative group of the Lori Regional Department of the Criminal Police went to the scene of the incident. According to the report of the owner of the restaurant, he was in his office on the second floor of the restaurant when the door of the safe on the first floor was broken and 30 thousand dollars, six million drams and gold jewelry were stolen.
On the same day, a criminal proceeding was initiated in the Lori Regional Investigation Department, the necessary actions were taken, but the crime was not revealed with fresh traces.
As a result of the cooperation of the Lori regional department of the criminal police against crimes against people and property and the officers of the Lori regional investigation department, operative reliable information was received on March 9 that the theft from the restaurant was committed by a 37-year-old man from Vanadzor, who was assisted by one of his fellow citizens.
On the same day, both were arrested and presented to the body implementing the proceedings.
It also turned out that they had planned to commit burglaries, which was prevented by their arrest.
On March 10, a search was made at the house of the assisting man. Containers with a cannabis-like plant and a large amount of marijuana-like material were found.
According to the court's decision, arrest was imposed as a preventive measure against the perpetrator of the theft, and house arrest was imposed against the accomplice.
