Emergency situation in Syunik region

Today, on January 24, an emergency situation was created in the Sisian administrative area of the Yerevan-Meghri highway.

As photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reports from the spot, several trucks with Iranian license plates turned the traffic into a "japsandal" near the "Karahunj" hotel complex in the Sisian administrative area, as a result of which a two-way traffic jam was created and the movement of vehicles was temporarily stopped.

The patrols of the Syunik Marz Battalion of the Police Patrol Service of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs, led by the battalion commander Arsen Sevoyan and the senior inspector of the battalion service Narek Manucharyan, fortunately, in a short time were able to urge the Iranian drivers to open the road and refrain from creating other artificial traffic jams.

The patrols have already escorted more than 20 trucks with Iranian license plates and now they are trying to get the rest off the road so that it becomes fully passable.
