Today, January 23, a major and tragic car accident took place in Kotayk region. Around 16:10, a "Kamaz" truck and "Ford Transit" cars collided in the Artashat junction of the Abovyan-Jrvezh highway.
As photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reports from the scene, as a result of the accident, the passenger of the "Ford" died on the spot, and according to those gathered at the scene, the emergency doctors who arrived at the scene provided assistance to 2 people who refused to go to the hospital, but 1 injured person was taken to the hospital.
1 combat unit from Yerevan fire-rescue squad No. 9 of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia arrived at the scene. Patrolmen of the 2nd platoon of the 2nd company of the Kotayk Marz battalion of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs Police Patrol Service also arrived: battalion commander Albert Martirosyan, deputy battalion commander Vahagn Karapetyan, senior inspector of the battalion service, head of the day Artak Asatryan. under the leadership of battalion service inspector Karlen Baghyan and company commander Davit Hovhannisyan. Due to the fact of the accident, criminal proceedings have been initiated in the investigation department, where the identity of the drivers, the dead and the injured are being ascertained. On the instructions of the investigator, the cars are being moved to a special area guarded by the Kotayk Police Department.
