US Secretary of State Marco Rubio called the supply of fuel from Azerbaijan to Armenia "an important gesture" during a phone conversation with Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
As reported by the press service of the State Department, during the conversation, Rubio and Bayramov also referred to "other confidence-building measures aimed at the further advancement of peace and prosperity in the South Caucasus region" and highly appreciated the positive changes in American-Azerbaijani relations.
As reported by the Azerbaijani mass media, the parties also highly appreciated the contacts and negotiations between Washington and Baku on the preparation of the strategic partnership charter.
