The Acting President of Venezuela, Delsey Rodriguez, has announced plans to protect the country's economic rights at the global level and to develop national production.
"We want to create a national committee for the protection of Venezuelan economic rights in the world, which will represent the national executive and private sectors such as oil, agricultural, industrial, commercial, public utilities, banking and oil exports," Rodríguez said at a meeting of the Council for an Efficient Economy, which was broadcast on the Venezolana de Televisión channel.
Rodríguez noted the need to focus on domestic production, "where the public and private sectors will work together, following the development of the 14 economic engines" and implementing strategic import substitution.
