Great Britain allocated 27 million dollars for the immediate repair of energy facilities in Ukraine

Great Britain will allocate 20 million pounds ($27 million) for the repair of Ukraine's energy infrastructure, the British Foreign Office announced.

"This funding will provide vital emergency support to repair, restore, protect and secure power generation across the country, ensuring power and heating for homes, hospitals and schools during severe winter conditions," the UK Foreign Office said in a statement.

Taking into account the announced amount, the total amount of funds allocated by London to support Ukraine's energy system from 2022 has reached 470 million pounds ($630 million), the Foreign Office said.

As the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Denis Shmygal, announced on January 16, since February 2022, the country has lost "thousands of megawatts of electricity production".
