The Italian Parliament has approved the extension of aid to Ukraine

The Italian parliament has approved a resolution to extend aid to Ukraine until the end of 2026. After Defense Minister Guido Crosetto presented the corresponding decree passed by the government, the vote took place first in the lower house and then in the upper house (Senate), according to the respective websites of the legislature.

The text of the resolution proposed by the ruling majority, which includes the "Brothers of Italy", "Forza Italia" and "League" parties, states that the government is committed to "continue to provide support to Ukraine in a coordinated manner with NATO."

The European Union, the G7 countries and international allies, contributing to the protection of populations, critical infrastructure and, ultimately, the overall security of the European continent. The document also includes "focusing on civilian aid and increasing it".

The term "military" support is not included in the list of commitments, but is present in the general text.
