Estonia's defense minister has given permission to send troops to Greenland for military exercises

Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur has allowed up to 10 Estonian soldiers to be sent to the European exercises in Greenland.

Denmark's armed forces announced on Wednesday that they will strengthen their military presence in Greenland in close cooperation with NATO allies and intensify training activities on the island.

"According to the available knowledge, we are not talking about sending large troops. Rather, we are talking about sending a few people. if necessary, they can literally be counted on the fingers of one or two hands," Pevkur told ERR.

He added that Denmark's need to increase its presence in Greenland may lead to the withdrawal of Danish troops stationed in Latvia, but he considers this unlikely.
