A criminal case has been initiated in Ukraine against Navalny's sympathizer Volkov

The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine has opened a criminal case against Leonid Volkov, a supporter of Alexei Navalny, for his criticism of Denis Kapustin, the founder of the "Russian Volunteer Corps" (RDK). According to the report, the case was initiated under part 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine on charges of supporting Russia's special military operation and its participants. The mentioned article envisages imprisonment or restriction of freedom for a period of up to five years.

The personal correspondence published by RFK representative Anna Tiron on Facebook became the basis for criminal prosecution. Within its framework, Volkov responded positively to the news about the possible destruction of Kapustin, calling it "denazification that has finally happened", and also used harsh words against the head of military intelligence of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, and the RFK. Earlier, another supporter of Navalny, Maria Pevchikh, was included in the blacklist of the Ukrainian "Mirotvorets" website.
