US President Donald Trump wished Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán victory in the April parliamentary elections. In a letter sent from Washington to Budapest, he also supported the Hungarian government's policy of preserving traditional conservative values.
"Your wise leadership is an example for the rest of the world. You have always strongly defended the principles that make Hungary such a wonderful place: faith, family and sovereignty.
America admires such courage," said Trump's message, which Orbán posted on Facebook (banned in Russia, owned by Meta Corporation, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation).
The US President thanked the Prime Minister for the invitation to visit Hungary and noted that the American "team will be in touch" regarding his schedule. Trump reminded that in 2024, when he was in the opposition, Orban supported him during the US election campaign.
