President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev thanked his American counterpart Donald Trump for the invitation to the G20 summit during the presentation of credentials by the new US ambassador Julie Staff in Astana.
"We had a friendly and at the same time meaningful conversation with President Donald Trump. Recently, we had a fruitful telephone conversation on many issues related to our bilateral cooperation.
I am grateful for the invitation to participate in the G20 summit, which will take place later this year in the United States," Tokaev's press service quoted him as saying at the credentials presentation ceremony.
"We will do everything possible to maintain and strengthen our strategic partnership in many areas," the Kazakh leader emphasized.
