The Syrian army declared a ceasefire in Aleppo to ease the situation there, the country's defense ministry announced.
Armed groups must leave this area.
"The Syrian army undertakes to provide escort and safe passage," the department's message on the Telegram channel says.
It was noted that internal security forces, together with the Syrian army, are organizing a mechanism for the withdrawal of armed groups.
The agency emphasized that this decision aims to alleviate the situation, restore the functioning of city institutions and protect civilians in the conflict zone.
