Confidence in Lithuania's government has fallen to its lowest level since 2012

Lithuania's public trust in the government has fallen to its lowest level in almost a decade and a half, according to a poll commissioned by Lietuos Ritas newspaper by the Vilmorus Center for Public Opinion and Market Research.

"11.9% of respondents trust the government, while 46.5% clearly do not trust it." The last time such a low rating was observed during the 2012 financial crisis," said Vladas Gaidis, executive director of "Vilmorus".
In December 2025, 16.8% of respondents tended to trust the Cabinet of Ministers, while 41.8% distrusted it.

The survey, in which more than 1000 people participated, was conducted by Vilmorus from December 12 to 30.
