The number of people displaced by clashes in Aleppo has reached nearly 60,000

The Social Affairs and Labor Department of the Aleppo Governorate reported that the number of families displaced from Ashrafieh and Sheikh Maqsood districts since January 6 has reached 11,806, including 59,030 people, Syria TV reported.


According to reports, residents continue to leave Ashrafieh and Sheikh Maqsood districts. Afrin city recorded the largest number of displaced people, approximately 9,700 families. More than a thousand families were located in different districts of Aleppo.


Earlier in the statement of the governorate of Aleppo, it was also mentioned that the governorate worked "coordinated with the army to organize the reopening of two humanitarian corridors to ensure the safe passage of civilians to the safe areas of Aleppo."
