Georgian authorities have deported citizens of Turkey and Azerbaijan from the country


The employees of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, in close cooperation with the relevant departments, deported 13 foreigners from Georgia in recent days, reports Georgia Online.


As a result of comprehensive efforts of the Department of Migration, 13 citizens of Turkmenistan, Iran, Cuba, Turkey, Thailand and Azerbaijan were deported from the country.


It is noted that the total number of foreigners deported from Georgia in the last one year was 1311 people.


According to the current legislation, the deported persons were prohibited from entering the country.


One of the responsibilities of the Department of Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is the identification and deportation of foreigners residing legally in the country through enhanced migration control and other special measures.
