RA NA MP Tigran Abrahamyan writes on his Facebook page:
"Henrich Mkhitaryan is not only a world-famous football player, a high-class athlete, but a real Armenian who uses his name and reputation to raise the problems of the Armenian people and bring them to the foreign audience. The latter, taking into account his multimillion-strong international audience, made a special reference to the Armenians held illegally in Baku prisons in his Christmas message.
"I could not write this message without a special reference to our compatriots who are illegally detained in the prisons of the neighboring country. May this year become the year of new hopes and a safe return home, may the world finally act for justice and impartiality," wrote Mkhitaryan. A step worthy of respect, which only brings honor and emphasizes the greatness of Henrikh Mkhitaryan as a person and a football player."
