Steven Wittkoff, the special representative of the US President, expressed confidence that Russia is fully committed to the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
"Russia remains fully committed to achieving peace in Ukraine," he wrote in X, after the consultations held with the special representative of the Russian President, the executive director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Kirill Dmitriev, in Miami (Florida) on December 20 and 21.
On the American side, in addition to Witkoff, the son-in-law of the American leader, entrepreneur Jared Kushner, and White House employee Josh Gruenbaum took part.
Dmitriev previously told reporters that warmongers failed to disrupt the Russian-American talks on Ukraine in Miami. He previously noted that the consultations are proceeding constructively.
