Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban stated that his country is interested in maintaining the stability of Ukraine, as its collapse would be a serious problem for Hungary.
Excerpts of Orbán's speech were published on his X page.
"The collapse of Ukraine will be a disaster for Hungary. This not only contradicts our interests, but also requires an effective agreement to prevent it," said the Prime Minister.
He emphasized that the stability of the neighboring state is of great importance for Hungary, which supplies it with electricity and gas.
"At the same time, the war weakens Ukraine every day. Peace is the only way to strengthen it. Anyone who truly supports Ukraine should strive for peace and do it now," Orbán added.
