The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey has allowed to start an investigation against the mayor of Ankara, Mansur Yavash.
According to "Sabah" newspaper, in addition to Yavash, 38 members of the Ankara Municipality Council will also be investigated. They are accused of disobeying court decisions and abusing their official powers, which created difficulties for citizens.
This decision came after years of legal and administrative disputes over a 90-hectare redevelopment project in Ankara's Incek district.
