Another unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was found in Turkey's northwestern province of Balikesir. The device was sent to Ankara for detailed examination, Hürriyet newspaper reported.
Earlier, Turkey's Defense Ministry said the drone, which appeared to have gone out of control, was shot down by an F-16 fighter jet in the country's airspace over the Black Sea.
The drone was not identified. Ankara is taking additional measures to protect critical surface and underwater assets in the Black Sea after drone incidents, Turkish Defense Minister Yasar Guler said on Saturday.
"The unmanned aerial vehicle was destroyed in an empty plot of land in Salur region of Manyas district of Balikesir province. The plane was found by farmers and handed over to the security forces," the newspaper reported.
