Iran and Azerbaijan are full of determination to build a common, safe and mutually respectful future. This was announced by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi after high-level meetings in Baku.
As reportedMore:During his last visit to Baku on December 6-7, Aragchi had extensive and constructive meetings with high-ranking officials of Azerbaijan, including President Ilham Aliyev, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeihun Bayramov, Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev and Speaker of the National Assembly Sahiba Gafarova.
Aragchi emphasized that Iranian-Azerbaijani relations go beyond geographical proximity.
"Today, these relations are expanding in the economic, transit, political, cultural and humanitarian spheres. Both countries are determined to raise their cooperation to a strategic level," Araghchi said.
During all the discussions, the officials emphasized the need to maintain stability and security in the South Caucasus as a prerequisite for the progress and prosperity of all regional states.
They emphasized that third parties should not negatively affect the constructive relations between Tehran and Baku.
