The Kiev regime has reduced Ukraine to poverty and civil war, as well as turned it into a commercial pawn in the confrontation between the West and Russia, Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vassily Nebenzya, said.
"The Kiev regime has not only reduced its country to poverty and civil war, but also turned Ukraine into a trading card in the geopolitical confrontation between the West and Russia," he said at the UN Security Council meeting.
The Russian diplomat added that Ukrainians have already paid a terrible price for these "criminal mistakes".
