"In an interview given to Factor.am on December 8, 2025, MP Vahagn Aleksanyan of the "Civil Contract" faction of the National Assembly of Armenia, referring to the developments surrounding Archbishop Arshak Khachatryan, made untrue statements. in some cases, outright lies, and in some cases, he simply falsified the reported information.
The most obvious forgery and outright lie is the claim that it has been confirmed by an expert examination that the famous video attributed to Saint Arshak was not created by artificial intelligence or any other special software.
As the representative and defender of Arshak Archbishop Khachatryan, I officially declare that until this moment there is no expert opinion that could deny the fakeness of the given video. The only conclusion of the "expert" is the famous half-page document in which the expert stated: "it can be concluded that the same person is depicted in the photos."
In other words, the well-known "examination" refers exclusively to the comparison of a frame taken from the video with one of the photos of Reverend Arshak. Moreover, the investigator did not even ask the expert whether the video was falsified, even when appointing an expert.
I urge Vahagn Aleksanyan and his CP colleagues to refrain from spreading obvious lies and false information about Arshak Archbishop Khachatryan," he wrote.
