If he wants to reform the church, he must first start with himself, his family members, deal with the education of his children, legalize his marriage with a woman in the church, and go to services where the canonical service is offered, Father Vrtanes Baghalyan stated, responding to a journalist's response to RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's comments to the Catholicos of All Armenians.
"We see that some people in some churches are self-righteous, some state officials have become ordinary show organizers, they are performing abnormal service outside of their duties," said Ter Vrtanes.
According to him, Pashinyan's main goal is the applause dedicated to him, the shouts of "prime minister": "His goal is not to reform the church, but to divide it. Without giving the name of His Holiness, the liturgy is not canonical, no one has the right to abbreviate the name of His Holiness," emphasized Father Vrtanes.
