All the clergy of the Armenian Diocese of Krasnodar and the North Caucasus have issued a statement, which says:
"Declaration that was adopted on December 5, 2025, as a result of the discussion of the issue of supporting the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and Catholicos of All Armenians Gareg II by the general meeting of the representatives of the centralized religious organization of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Krasnodar and North Caucasus Diocese.
We, all the clergy of the Armenian Diocese of Krasnodar and the North Caucasus, members of the Diocesan Council and khachkavors unanimously express our deep concern and indignation regarding the alarming events unfolding around the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church.
We strongly condemn the illegal interference and divisive actions of the authorities in the internal affairs of the Armenian Apostolic Church, the targeting and imprisonment of the Catholicos of All Armenians and a number of high-ranking clergymen, the imprisonment and the defamation campaign unleashed against them, the repression of the clergymen and the national devotee, the seizure of churches, the arbitrary distortion of the Liturgical ceremony and a number of anti-canonical and misleading phenomena.
With filial humility, we express our support to Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, we reaffirm our pledge of loyalty to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, and we are prayer partners with the entire spiritual pilgrim class of the Armenian Church, wishing solidarity, peace, unity and all the best to the entire Armenian people, in our homeland and in the diaspora.
