Lithuania may declare a state of emergency next week over weather balloons allegedly smuggled in from Belarus. This was announced by Prime Minister Inga Ruginiene, the Delfi portal reports.
"The legal framework and documents of the emergency situation are currently being developed. "The experts have decided that the form of the emergency situation is optimal for today," he emphasized.
In November, it was reported that Lithuania wants to create a "project of the best scientists and entrepreneurs" within months to destroy the weather balloons that appear in the country, which Vilnius has linked to Belarusian smuggling.
