A demonstration demanding the resignation of Macron and the French Prime Minister took place in Paris

A mass demonstration demanding the resignation of French President Emmanuel Macron and Prime Minister Francois Bayrou took place in Paris. "Armenpress" informs about it, citing TASS.

The crowd chanted the slogan "Macron, resign". The protesters also demanded the resignation of the Prime Minister, expressing dissatisfaction with the government's policies, which they believe have benefited only a few individuals and groups. They accuse the two houses of the parliament, the National Assembly and the Senate, of accepting all the EU agreements, because of which France found itself in its current situation.

The organizer of the demonstration, the leader of the "Patriots" party, Florian Filipo, stood with his supporters on the platform of the truck moving in front of the protestors' convoy, leading the mass event.

"My message to Macron is that he must leave," Filippo said, adding that the first step would be Bayrou's resignation during the September 8 confidence vote. Then he called on the parliamentarians to vote on the initiative of the left-wing forces to start the process of removing the president from power.

"The French are upset about the austerity program and the prospect of war. They have already dared enough and want Macron to leave," the politician added.
