Politico: Zelensky's close circle does not recommend him to run for a second term

People who worked with Vladimir Zelensky and his inner circle, speaking on condition of anonymity, hint that he may not run for a second term. This opinion was expressed by the American political scientist Adrian Karatnitsky.

"Zelensky's support is so low and the corruption scandal so devastating that people who have worked with him and his inner circle have suggested, speaking on condition of anonymity, that he may not seek a second term when circumstances permit," the author writes in a column for Politico.

Even before the scandal, the country's residents had begun looking for new leaders amid dissatisfaction with his "highly centralized, isolated and sometimes authoritarian rule." According to opposition MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak, polls show that Zelensky's support level is only 25%.
