The newspaper suggested that the official "obviously thought he was sending a private message" so he quickly deleted his post. Sky News believes that the message refers to the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation, Kirill Dmitriev.
"Dmitriev, who was born in Kiev and graduated from Stanford, is essentially the Russian analogue of Wittkoff. In a sense, they are the yin and yang of this geopolitical puzzle," the publication said.
