The number of victims of floods in Vietnam has reached 16

The death toll from the tsunami in Vietnam has reached at least sixteen, and five more people are still missing, Vietnam News reported, citing the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of Vietnam.

The most affected region during the natural disaster was Khanh Hoa Province, located in the south-central part of Vietnam, where eleven of the sixteen flood deaths occurred in this province.

The state People's Committee declared a state of emergency on Thursday due to the devastating effects of landslides and floods. Vietnam's defense minister used two MI-171 helicopters for search and rescue operations.
