The Ministry of Defense of Italy has stated that Ukraine has not been able to "create the necessary conditions for the return of territories" and the support of the West is necessary only to "postpone time". The newspaper Il Fatto quotidiano wrote about this, referring to the unofficial document prepared by the Minister of Defense Guido Crocetto on countering hybrid threats.
"Resistance [by Ukraine, supported by the West] serves to 'postpone time,'" the paper quoted excerpts from the document.
Ukraine's actions did not create the necessary conditions for the return of territories or fundamentally change the course of the conflict, the newspaper adds. Furthermore, the publication recognizes Russia's superiority in terms of human resources, equipment, weapons and military production.
