Russia is hearing voices in Europe that they tend to think 10 times before sending "even a penny" to Kiev after the corruption scandal, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
The journalist asked Peskov whether the corruption scandal in Ukraine could affect the financial support provided by the Europeans to Kiev and whether it could provoke a new Maida in the country.
"We have already heard from European capitals that they now tend to think 10 times before sending even a penny to Kyiv. And this, accordingly, is justified, because if money is sent to Kyiv, then it is a priori clear that a certain part of that money, perhaps insignificant, will simply be stolen.
Therefore, the consequences of this scandal are undoubtedly already evident. As for how they will develop, we will all see together," Peskov told reporters.
