I am confident that the agreements reached in Washington this August on connecting the continental part of Azerbaijan with the Autonomous Republic of Nakhichevan will contribute to the expansion of transit opportunities for international transportation. The construction of the Zangezur Corridor is nearing completion in Azerbaijan. President Ilham Aliyev said this while speaking at the 7th consultative meeting of the heads of Central Asian states in Tashkent.
Aliyev noted that the railway with a capacity of 15 million tons will initially become an important artery of the Middle Corridor.
