The latter was found by police officers and taken to the police station, shouting on the way that he had come to Republic Square in a petrol truck to blow it up. the petrol truck parked in the center of the Republic Square, then fled. At the same time, a report was received from the police that an unknown citizen stole an unknown brand of gasoline from a gas station on the Yerevan-Sevan highway and left in an unknown direction.

In connection with the incident, criminal proceedings were initiated in the third investigative department of the Kentron and Nork-Marash Administrative Regions of the RA Investigative Committee, under Article 263, Article 1, Article 264, Article 1 and Article 297, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code. within the framework of which it was found that the mentioned person is a 36-year-old resident of Yerevan city. The latter, by the decision of the body conducting the proceedings, was arrested on the basis of reasonable suspicion of committing criminal acts. During the preliminary investigation, inspections of the incident sites were carried out in the Republic Square and in the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, as a result of which it was found that a "KAMAZ" gas tank was parked in the central part of the Republic Square. car.

The investigation revealed that on the day of the incident, around 10:30 p.m., a 36-year-old man entered the 2nd building of the RA Government and demanded a meeting. to express grievances with the RA Foreign Minister.

A dispute arose between the police officer on duty and the mentioned person. Seeing that the mentioned person was behaving inappropriately and aggressively, the policeman took out the service pistol attached to him, after which the man left, then entered the reception of the opposite building, where he disobeyed the police. upon the officer's request to leave, he punched and broke the monitor of the guard post, then climbed the stairs, threw the pictures on the wall to the ground, tore the boxes for envelopes, tore out and moved the clay figurine from the place of installation, and then only with the other police officers who came to help together they managed to neutralize the mentioned person. During the preliminary investigation, a number of people were questioned.

The body conducting the proceedings is taking measures to find out the circumstances of the hijacking of the gas truck from the gas station on the Yerevan-Sevan highway, the relation of the arrested person to it, and other circumstances relevant to the incident.
